Quitobaquito

Quitobaquito is an oasis in the desert of Organ Pipe Cactus National Monument. As the only source of fresh water for many miles, it was obviously an important stopping point for many early pioneers. The cottonwood trees around the pond were planted, as they are all the same age, and all female, so there can be no saplings.

Quitobaquito is located adjacent to the Mexican border; close enough that cars passing on the Mexican highway can be heard at the oasis.
